La falsa creencia occidental de que estamos a salvo delos efectos del cambio climático ralentiza severamente la acción gubernamental al respeto. Sin embargo existen grandes riesgos debido a virus que escapan del hielo permafrost. Al hacer visible esta amenaza, quiero despertar la conciencia que necesitamos para motivar acciones frente a esta emergencia climática.
The general Western belief that we are “safe” from the effects of climate change, watching on as it devastates lives in other parts of the world, severe detriments government action. However, with the threat of viruses escaping from rapidly melting permafrost ice, this is not the case. By making this threat visible, I want to stir the sense of fear we need to motivate action in this climate emergency.
