Dos piezas de bronce.

“Verstehen“ consta de dos obras de bronce, una hecha en Offenbach (Alemania) otra en Barcelona (España). Ambas piezas tienen la misma forma pero su función y acabados son diferentes. Las diferentes pátinas en las dos piezas y el echo de que una esté cortada por partes las hace distinguir con facilidad.
La acción se basa en la aparición de dos sujetos ante una escultura cada uno, ellos deben entender la escultura de la otra persona para crear un equilibrio entre las piezas. La obra representa la comunicación y el cómo entendemos e interpretamos las ideas de otros.
“Verstehen” consists of two works of bronze, one made in Offenbach (Germany) another one in Barcelona (Spain). Both pieces have the same shape but their function and finishes are different. The different colours from the two pieces and the fact that one is cut in parts makes them easily distinguishable.
The action is based on the appearance of two subjects, each in front of a sculpture, they must understand the sculpture of the other person to create a balance between the pieces. The work represents communication and how we understand and interpret others ideas.
